17 Cases of Trafficking

During the first half of the current year, 17 cases of trafficking have been registered in the Republic: 75 persons have been sexually exploited. According to the General Prosecutor’s Office, nine cases were registered in the regions (4 in Kotayk, 3 in Lori, 1 case in Ararat and 1 case in Armavir), and eight cases - in Yerevan. Criminal cases have been instituted in connection with 16 cases, 16 persons were convicted. 8 more people were subjected to various forms of punishment.
