The Azerbaijan Gender Information Center (AGIC) is the first information and research center of the women's movement in the South Caucasus. The center was opened in 2002 with the support of the Open Society Institute-Azerbaijan.
Some of the main objectives of the center are the following:
to create a national gender portal;
to develop the national strategy in the field of gender and information technologies;
to promote women’s NGOs and women's initiative groups;
to monitor coverage of women’s issues in the local press; and
to provide trainings in information technology through the national women portal.

Yuliya Gureyeva has Master's Degree in Gender Studies from Central European University, Budapest.
