While much had been done to promote the advancement of women in Azerbaijan, including an impressive list of laws, policies and programs clearly indicating the country’s political will, the real issue was whether those measures had really benefited Azerbaijani women, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women agreed today, as it considered Azerbaijan’s combined second and third periodic reports.
