Concluding observations of the Committee (French) (Spanish)
The Committee noted the absence of a definition of torture in accordance with the Convention and expressed concerns that not all acts of torture constituted criminal offenses. The Committee recommended that the Bulgarian government adopt appropriate legislation to further implement the Convention, especially in regard to Articles 1-6.
