UN Expert Group Meets to Examine Best Practices for Global Violence against Women Legislation

From May 26 through 28, international experts on legislation on violence against women will be meeting to study different legislative and legal approaches, use lessons learned from previous approaches, and recommend best practices based upon experience. Cheryl Thomas, the Director of the Women’s Human Rights Program of The Advocates for Human Rights, is one of fifteen experts who will be in attendance.
