Hope and Help 2/1/2006 1:20 AMIn December 2005 “Hope and Help” NGO assisted 4 women from the Ukraine in their voluntary return home. The young women, one under-age, have been recruited to work at a night club as dancers. They have been identified as victims of trafficking.
The women have been provided with medical, psychological and legal assistance, and given a temporary shelter.
A criminal case was instituted on the matter, and after the preliminary investigation it it was submitted to the court. The organizer of the crime has been sentenced by Article 132, part 2, points 3 and 4 to 2 years of correctional labor and 15% levy of his income.
