Human Rights in Democracy Center is non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit organization, whose mission is promotion, protection and fulfillment of human rights in Albania, with a special focus to protection of women's human right's against all forms of violence and discrimination. The work of HRDC in this domain ranges from providing legal and psychological/social, health assistance to women/girls, and minors to educational and advocacy work aimed at changing law and policy to ensure equal opportunities and equal rights. Also, Human Rights in Democracy Centre seeks to investigate and document human rights abuses and to disseminate this information widely so that appropriate action can be taken by various activists of civil society in Albania and wider.
The strategic objective of HRDC is improving social position of vulnerable groups (with special focus to women in rural areas, children, and other socially excluded categories.
