Concluding observations of the Committee (French) (Spanish)
The Committee commended the Hungarian government on its new policy aimed at preserving minorities' self-identity and cultural autonomy. The Committee expressed concern, however, over violent acts directed at minorities and the continued marginalization of the Roma. The Committee recommended that the government take measures to counter acts of hatred and strengthen efforts to implement affirmative action for minorities.
