The Committee welcomed recent legal reforms that conform to several provisions of the Convention. The Committee noted that the Second Periodic Report provided very little information about the status of women and their participation in public life.
Bulgaria's Third and Fourth Periodic Reports under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights were due on 31 December 1994 and 31 December 1999. Both reports are now OVERDUE.
