The State Committee on Family, Women and Children Issues has worked out a draft Law on “Prevention of Family Violence”. On March 19, the Committee organized a roundtable for public hearings of the Law. The Chief of the Committee, Hijran Huseynova, stated that the law will pass though expertise in the Council of Europe.

The Lawyer of the Committee, Ragim Ragimov, noted that the Law specifies types of family violence, its prevention and governmental structures that will be responsible for its implementation.
