The U.S. Department of Justice's Office on Violence against Women (OVW) and the Vera Institute of Justice have collaborated to produce a new website, www.accessingsafety.org, which provides resources for individuals with disabilities who are victims of violence. The site provides information specifically for victims, as well as for organizations offering services to victims of violence. While the site is fully functional, plans are underway to add resources specifically related to victims with disabilities and the criminal justice system; this development is expected to be ready in the fall of 2008.
