New U.S. Resource on International Child Abduction/Custody and Domestic Violence

The University of Minnesota and University of Washington Schools of Social Work, United States, have created a new online resource concerning the relationship between domestic violence and international child custody and child abduction issues. The site is called the Hague Domestic Violence Project, focusing on these issues under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. The schools decided to create this site after studies showed that the majority of “abducted” children brought into the U.S. were by mothers fleeing domestic violence in another country.
