New WHO Statistics on Women’s Health and Domestic Violence in Serbia and Montenegro

The World Health Organization’s (WHO) recent Multi-country Study on Women’s Health and Domestic Violence against Women included Serbia and Montenegro as one of its selected countries for in-depth examination. The research took place in Belgrade in the form of interviews with 1456 women between the ages of 15 and 49. It focused on prevalence, type of abuse, affect on pregnancy and health, and help sought following abuse.

The Serbia and Montenegro specific statistics have been made available in the form of a fact sheet by the WHO.
