Eight United Nations agencies have joined together to combat honor killings in Palestine. The “festival" was part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence.  It was designed to inform the community that honor killings are unrelated to honor and violate human rights.  The event also emphasized that breaking the silence on abuse is critical, and that youth, especially young men, play an important role in ending honor killings.
