By the end of May 2006, the Secretariat of the National Council on Women, Family and Gender Development under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced a tender for organizations and experts to monitor implementation of the National Action Plan on Reaching Gender Equality in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2002-2006 and to develop a National program document on further promotion of gender equality principles in the Kyrgyz Republic. The mission of this plan is:

• to perform analysis of the current situation in the Kyrgyz Republic in reaching gender equality,
• to develop a program document for 2007-2010,
• to discuss public debates with various interested parties, like state authorities, local governance, NGOs, local communities, business community.

This work is set to be done by November 2006.
