The Intergovernmental Russian-Tajik Agreement on Labor Activity and Protection of Russian Citizens in Tajikistan and Tajik Citizens in Russian will be ratified by the end of this year. This was announced at the inter-chamber parliamentary session on cooperation between chambers of Tajik parliament and State Duma of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation by the Russian Co-chairman Boris Pastuhov.

“Russian Migration Service does not mind opening representations of migration service of Tajikistan in our country,” he continued, slightly perplexed by the fact that Tajikistan insisted on providing these services with diplomatic accreditation.  “First of all, diplomatic accreditation falls under cognizance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; secondly, representatives of migration services have a right to enter any region of Russia even when accredited by the Ministry of Justice.”
