The National Action Plan for promoting gender equality for 2006 is intended to unite the efforts of institutions and implement the policy of equal opportunities for men and women in all field of the economic, political and social life in the country.

Due to the great variety and the wide range of the principle of gender equality, the document includes actions intended to promote gender equality in the access to healthcare, education, decision-making, raising public awareness, measures to root out stereotypes for men and women’s roles, working with the media, etc.

The implementation of the plan’s actions are channeled into encouraging the equal access to the benefits of society for men and women.

The funding will be provided within the budget of the institutions.
