The Optional Protocol was acceded to on 16 April 1991 with no reservations and entered into force on 16 July 1991. The Second Optional Protocol has neither been signed nor ratified.

International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Ratified on 18 November 1974 with declarations on Articles 26 and 48. Entered into force on 3 January 1976.

Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women: Ratified on 20 July 1981 with no reservations. Entered into force on 3 September 1981. The Optional Protocol was ratified on 28 March 2002 and entered into force on 28 June 2002.

International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination: Ratified on 6 August 1969 with a declaration on Article 17. Entered into force 5 September 1969.

Convention on the Rights of the Child: Ratified on 5 July 1990 with no reservations. Entered into force on 2 September 1990. The Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict was signed only on 12 November 2001. The Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography was ratified on 27 June 2003 with no reservations and entered into force on 27 July 2003.

Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment: Acceded to on 24 January 2002 with no reservations. Entered into force on 23 February 2002. The Optional Protocol has neither been signed nor ratified.

International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families: No action has been taken.

Convention relating to the Status of Refugees: No action has been taken. Nor has action been taken regarding the Protocol relating to the Status of Refugees.

Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery, the Slave Trade, and Institutions and Practices Similar to Slavery: Acceded to on 20 December 1968 with no reservations. Entered into force on 20 December 1968.

Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children: No action has been taken.
