International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights: Succeeded to on 1 September 1993 with no reservations. Entered into force on 6 March 1992. The Optional Protocol was ratified on 1 March 1995 and entered into force on 1 June 1995. The Second Optional Protocol was ratified on 16 March 2001 and entered into force on 16 June 2001.
International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights: Succeeded to on 3 March 1992 with no reservations. Entered into force on 6 March 1992.
Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women: Succeeded to on 1 September 1993 with no reservations. Entered into force 1 October 1993. The Optional Protocol to the Women's Convention was ratified on 4 September 2002 and entered into force on 4 December 2002.
Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination: Succeeded to on 16 July 1993 with no reservations. Entered into force on 16 July 1993.
Convention on the Rights of the Child: Succeeded to on 1 September 1993 with one reservation to Part I, art. 9. Entered into force 6 March 1992. The Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography was ratified on 4 September 2002 and entered into force 4 October 2002. The Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict was signed on 7 September 2000 and ratified on 10 October 2003.
Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Punishment: Acceded on 1 September 1993 with no reservations. Entered into force 6 March 1992. Bosnia-Herzegovina has not signed or ratified the Optional Protocol.
International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families: Acceded to on 13 December 1996 with no reservations. Entered into force 1 July 1993.
Convention relating to the Status of Refugees: Succeeded to on 1 September 1993 with no reservations. The Protocol relating to the Status of Refugees was ratified on the same date.
Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery, the Slave Trade, and Institutions and Practices Similar to Slavery: Acceded to on 1 September 1993 with no reservations. Entered into force on 1 September 1993.
