Women’s NGOs, as well as the state Departments of Family, Youth and Sport in all regions of Ukraine will conduct activities in a frame of 16 Days Activism.

For example:

The Regional Department of Family, Youth and Sport will organize and conduct following activities in Zhutomyr:

-         Photo contest: “Call Tender for Gender”

-         Training program: “Know and exercise our rights!”

-         Drawing contest: “For world without violence” in the Zhutomyr orphanage

-         Poster contest: “Stop Violence!” among students

-         Regional mobile consultative point on prevention different forms of violence

-         Hotlines on prevention violence and gender equality

-         Meetings with young people up to 28 years old who are on probation on “Consequences of domestic violence for the society”

-         Regional conference “Equal participation of women and men in the decision making: policy and practice”

Women’s NGO West Ukrainian Center “Women’s Perspectives” will conduct the following activities in Lviv and the surrounding region:

November 26 – Round table for women’s and human rights NGOs: “Demanding Implementation, Challenging Obstacles: End Violence against Women”

November 28 – Press conference on “Gender Discrimination and Sexual Violence on the work place”

November 28-29 and December 5-6 – Dissemination of informational leaflets on “Violence in a Family: Safe Plan” in the public places in Lviv (city center, city council, train station, market “Shuvar”). 5000 leaflets will be disseminated by students-volunteers.

November 30 and December 4 – “Space Free from Violence” – Consultation points will be organized in state Employment Center and Police Departments in Lviv. Counseling on violence in a family and dissemination of informational materials will take place in these places.

December 6 - Seminar “Development mechanism of counteraction trafficking in children and exploitation of child's labor in the Lviv region” in cooperation with state Regional Services in matters of children

December 9 - Action “Art and Children for World without Violence” will take place in Lviv Palace of Art. Children from art schools, studious and children NGO from Lviv and region will participate in Action. 

December 3-7 – Round tables on “Gender violence: problems and solutions” will take place in 4 district towns in Lviv region

December 10 - Press-club meeting devoted to the 16 Days Campaign
