The role of women in promoting peace and security is increasingly acknowledged, with UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women and Peace and Security as a crucial reference point, though much still remains to be done at all levels to implement this resolution. On the eve of International Women’s Day more than 50 international women leaders met in Brussels to discuss the role of women in stabilising an insecure world. |

It has become clear that man’s sex hormone, testosterone, is connected with aggressive behavior. Research shows that the testosterone level of individuals convicted for grave crimes is higher than of those convicted for crimes not connected with violence. |
Case Study in Police and Courts of Yerevan

Within the frameworks of the project “Combat domestic violence in Armenia,” the Women’s Rights Center’s lawyer in the period of 1 January – 30 March, 2007 conducted a research at police stations and courts aimed at discovering legal, administrative and institutional gaps related to the issue of domestic violence, and presenting policy recommendations, based on the analysis of the experience of foreign countries in the field of domestic violence. |
