Struggling for gender equality: sharing Lithuanian and Bulgarian experience explores domestic violence and gender equality in both countries. The authors describe the situation before domestic violence and gender equality laws were adopted, the adoption process and continuing challenges and lessons learned for each country. The report makes recommendations for NGOs, law and policy makers, and experts in countries that have not yet adopted these laws.
