New Resource: EU publishes Guidance to Help Frontline Professionals Identify and Assist Victims of Forced and Child Marriage

The European Union (EU) has published a roadmap for professionals such as teachers, social service workers, health care workers and criminal justice professionals, to help them identify, assist and protect victims or potential victims of forced and early marriage (FEM). The new guidance “includes a 7-step referral pathway for all frontline professionals, and then provides specific guidance” for different professional sectors to improve how they respond to FEM.
