Individual Grantseekers
last updated September 1, 2003

The following is a collection of resources for individuals seeking financial support, and many of these resources are focused on support for study in the United States. An individual grantseeker with a specific area of study or kind of project in mind might also try simple searches in Google or AltaVista. For academics who desire to study at a particular educational institution, it might be most efficient to contact the institution directly.

It is important to beware of scholarship scams when researching individual funding. Although some databases require a fee for searching, legitimate scholarship sources generally do not ask for money to help grantseekers find financial support.
