CWSP is the successor of the Women’s Program of the Open Society Foundation, Sofia and Bulgarian partner in the Network Women’s Program of the Open Society Institute, New York. The goal of the Foundation is to consolidate and strengthen NGOs addressing women’s issues (Annual NGOs Meeting), to increase the public awareness of the problems women in Bulgaria face, and to promote the development and adoption of policies guaranteeing gender equality. It also acts as a monitor of the status of women’s rights in Bulgaria.
