  • Concluding observations of the Committee (French) (Spanish)
  • The Committee noted with concern the presence of male guards in prisons for women, which could result in an abuse of authority. The Committee was also concerned over increasing violence against the Roma and the lack of response by law enforcement authorities. The Committee recommended that the government set up an independent means of receiving prisoners' complaints and prison inspections, as well as continue efforts to combat discrimination and violence against all minorities.
