• The Committee welcomed the creation of a "Crisis Line for Children" as a means for children to report sexual abuse and domestic violence. The Committee was concerned over the insufficiency of measures to address problems of child abuse, trafficking, sexual abuse, prostitution and child pornography. It recommended that the government undertake a study of abuse in the home, reinforce its policies to combat all forms of violence and use public information campaigns to counter child abuse in the family and other institutions.

• The Committee expressed concerns at the lack of an organized system of child services, resulting in ad hoc NGO responses to child abuse. The Committee also expressed its dissastifaction that domestic violence was not specifically addressed in Czech legislation, support for victims was inadequate and public awareness was low. The Committee recommended that the government develop a system for reporting and investigating domestic violence and abuse of children, while ensuring that inquiries and legal proceedings are sensitive to the needs of the child. Finally, the Committee invited the government to implement measures for the rehabilitation and social reintegration of victims of abuse and violence.
