  • The Committee was concerned over the lack of a comprehensive national policy on children's rights. It expressed concern over cases of ill-treatment of children and the lack of adequate psycho-social measures for recovery. In addition, the Committee regretted the insufficiency of measures to deal with the prostitution and trafficking of children. The Committee recommended that the Hungarian government harmonize its national laws with the Convention by adopting a children's code. The Committee also recommended that the government continue efforts to prevent and combat the commercial sexual exploitation of children, including through studies aimed at developing programmes and rehabilitation schemes to assist children.
