The Ministry of Justice, with the support of Save the Children UK – Program in Montenegro, has formed a working group for the development of the new Family Law of the Republic of Montenegro. The project was funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Until now, the working group has developed the final draft of the new Family Law that will be directed to the Ministry of Justice – the proposer/initiator of this Law in the Parliament of the Republic of Montenegro.

From another side, the same working group is working on the development of the first draft of the Law on protection from violence in the family of the Republic of Montenegro. The first draft of this Law will be developed before December 15th, and after that, will be distributed to all relevant sectors in Montenegro and wider on its discussion.
