  • The Committee expressed concerns over the low representation of women in the political sphere. In addition, the Committee was concerned over reports of trafficking in persons and domestic violence. While the Committee commended Czech Republic for its education and training of police in domestic violence matters, it was concerned over the lack of protection in law and practice. The Committee recommended that the government adopt measures to provide protection for spouses facing violence or threats of violence. The Committee also urged the government to improve programs that offer assistance and protection to victims of trafficking.
