New Domestic Violence Law Enters into Force 6/5/2007 4:44 PMOn 1 June 2007, the Albanian Law on Measures against Violence in Family Relations entered into force. The law represents an important step in Albania's efforts to address domestic violence and includes promising features that will facilitate its implementation. Those features include specific details about what should be included in protection measures ordered by the district court and criminalization of the violation of a protection order.
