Stop Violence Against Women
New Family Law Passed

The Parliament of the Republic of Montenegro, in its session from 27 December 2006, adopted the new Family Law. This law addresses marriage and marriage relations, relations between parents and children, family lodging, custody, alimony, property relations in the family and procedures before bodies-in-charge of marriage and family relations.

The Law will enter into force on 1 September 2007.
