Jasmila Zbanic’s film GRBAVICA has been nominated for EUROPEAN FILM 2006. Mirjana Karanovic, the actress who plays the role of Esma (the main role in the movie that tells the story about a woman war rape survivor and her daughter Sara) has been nominated for EUROPEAN ACTRESS 2006.

The nominations are announced on November 4 at the Seville Film Festival in Spain. The 1,700 EFA Members will now vote for the winners which will be presented during the Awards Ceremony in Warsaw on 2 December 2006.
