last updated August 2007

This compilation of materials on sexual harassment includes institutional reports on sexual harassment, discussions of efforts to combat sexual harassment, and resources on the issues addressed in Explore the Issue. These materials are organized in the following manner:

  • General Resources on Sexual Harassment includes reports that discuss the issue of sexual harassment broadly.
  • Reports by Institution includes reports on sexual harassment that are available from the United Nations (including the International Labor Organization), the Council of Europe, the European Union, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
  • Reports by Topic includes reports that may be useful resources for nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and may also inform NGO advocacy strategies. This section includes reports concerning the prevalence, experience, effects and prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace. This section also provides basic fact sheets on sexual harassment and reports analyzing sexual harassment cases in different countries.
  • Further On-Line Resources includes links that provide additional information about sexual harassment and are excellent research gateways.

For a discussion of international and regional law on sexual harassment, see Sexual Harassment: Law and Policy. Further information about the United Nations system and the European human rights system is also available in the International Law section of this site. This collection is not an exhaustive list of materials available on the web or elsewhere.
