Bosnia & Herzegovina: State Submits Sixth Periodic Report to UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women

The country of Bosnia & Herzegovina (BH) recently submitted its sixth periodic report detailing its efforts to comply with the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW Convention). The report highlights recent legislative, administrative and political developments related to gender equality, domestic violence, trafficking in women, and the treatment of women who survived sexual violence and torture during BH’s 1990’s civil war, among many other issues. 

 

The BH report will be reviewed by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW Committee), which Committee is responsible for monitoring state compliance with the CEDAW Convention. The report and any supplemental information is available for download from the website of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
