COVID-19 Domestic Violence Country Updates: Austria

As stay at home orders have been put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of domestic violence cases has risen worldwide. In Austria, as in many countries, incidents of domestic violence have gone up since shutdowns have been put in place. The Austrian government has guaranteed continued access to women’s shelters or the removal of violent family members from quarantined households.
