The Paraguayan Association of Women with Legal Careers (APMCJ), founded on August 4, 2025, aims to challenge the male-dominated image of the legal profession, combat discrimination against women, and promote gender equality in justice. Created by magistrate Vivian López, lawyer Lorena Segovia, and Dr. Esther Prieto, and over 15 prominent women in law, the group seeks to overcome the predominate gender bias in the legal field by promoting justice through a gender and human rights perspective, encouraging female leadership, dismantling structural barriers, and supporting victims of violence or exclusion.

While still defining its concrete action plans, the APMCJ intends to accompany emblematic legal cases, advocate for legislative reforms, and build alliances with institutions like the Judiciary, Congress, and private entities to influence public policy and ensure equal opportunities.
