The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have organized a seminar to help over 50 representatives from foreign consulates in Ukraine identify potential victims of human trafficking. The meeting will take place on 15 April 2005 in Kyiv, Ukraine and will help raise awareness on anti-trafficking issues in Ukraine, victim identification and provide best practices.
Speakers at the conference will include authorities from international organizations, civil society and Ukrainian ministries. Additionally, the International Labor Organization and the International Women Rights Center La Strada Ukraine will provide information on labor migration and anti-trafficking legislation. La Strada will also announce the first national, toll-free hotline service in Ukraine that provides information and help to people planning on going abroad for work, marriage and other reasons.
