The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has published the Anti-Human Trafficking Manual for Criminal Justice Practitioners in an effort to combat human trafficking globally. With the collaboration of academics, judges, NGOs, international organizations, law enforcement officers, and prosecutors working world wide, the UNODC aims to aid criminal justice practitioners internationally to prevent trafficking, support its victims, and prosecute traffickers.
The manual is divided into fourteen modules which outline the indicators of human trafficking, the impact of abuse on victims, international cooperation in prosecuting cases, how to engage with trafficked persons, and victims’ needs and support mechanisms.
