As part of UN Women's "Orange the World" campaign for 16 Days, the Austrian Foreign Ministry has undertaken efforts to combat violence against women. Between Nov. 25 and Dec. 10, the ministry is raising awareness about gender-based violence against women through a campaign that aims for a better and violence-free future. The campaign includes various activities, including the lighting of buildings in orange. By highlighting that gender-based violence is pervasive and takes various forms - including female genital mutilation, forced marriage, human trafficking, and digital violence - the campaign underscores the traumatic impact of sexual violence on entire communities.
