A police constable in the city of Ottawa who worked in the intimate partner domestic violence unit has admitted to discreditable conduct, after having been found guilty in March 2023 of threatening to kill his ex and possessing a weapon (a knife) for that intention in an incident that occured in July 2020. Although he was suspended from police work for a year and a half from August 2020 to February 2022, he then resumed his police work until the 2023 conviction and sentenced to imprisonment.
