An Ohio appellate court reversed the lower court's ruling on the state ban on gender-affirming care for minors on the basis that it is unconstitutional and must be permanently blocked. This law also restricted trans women and girls from female sports. The appellate judges emphasized that the lower court ruling was discriminatory as it only applied to treatments when used for gender transitioning. This decision was praised by the ACLU. Nonetheless, the Republican Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost vowed to appeal, ensuring the legal battle is not over.
