UN Women Tajikistan has launched a project focused on improving women’s access to justice and building gender capacity among judges. Funded by the U.S. Department of State, this initiative aims to enhance legal literacy, provide essential services to survivors of violence, and foster a gender-sensitive judicial system. The project, implemented in collaboration with the Supreme Court and the Committee on Women and Family Affairs, will run until the end of 2026 across four regions and the capital, Dushanbe. It seeks to empower judges and lawyers to enforce laws on domestic violence prevention and eliminate discrimination, aligning with international human rights standards.
