The Montreal-based owner of the Pornhub website, Aylo Holdings, has reached an agreement with the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, to pay $1.8 million US to the US Government after admitting to profiting from sex trafficking of women whose sexual videos were posted without their consent. The agreement also calls for separate payments to the victims, and appointment of an independent monitor for three years. Prosecutors report that between 2017 and 2020, Aylo received money that company officials knew or should have known was derived from sex trafficking on the "GirlsDoPorn" supplier of vidoes onto PornHub.
