The World Health Organization (WHO) along with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and UN Women launched in July 2023 the RESPECT Women website, an online platform with information to implement and measure programs, training and advocacy to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls. The website is a tool to help countries achieve commitments by WHO and UN Women to address the estimated one-in-three women globally who experience physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetimes, mostly by an intimate partner.
