Since 2006, the Council of Europe and the Parliamentary Assembly has supported a campaign to combat violence against women.

The campaign’s October edition newsletter highlights the Parliamentary Assembly’s sponsored seminars on analyzing and improving national legislation on domestic violence against women.  In addition, the newsletter reveals the launch of a new Europe-wide initiative to involve men in combating violence against women. Furthermore, the newsletter outlines the “seven criteria for a successful campaign” for parliaments to adopt when assessing actions taken to combat violence against women.
