More Shelters for Women to Be Established In Pakistan

The government of Pakistan has made a decision to establish 39 more Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Centers for Women as a part of the budget of financial year 2009-2010. These centers will be located across the country, and will offer services to victims of domestic violence, including providing temporary shelter, psychological counseling, and free medical and legal aid.

Six of the new centers will be established in Azad Jammu & Kashmir  and Northern Areas while the rest will be located throughout the the four provinces of Pakistan.
