One in Twenty Women in US Are Abused during Pregnancy
7/23/2007 12:06 PMAccording to the Newhouse News Service, one in twenty women in the US are abused or killed during pregnancy. In abusive relationships, violence tends to escalate during the period of pregnancy. Experts estimate that 324,000 pregnant women become victims of violence annually.
