Religious Leaders of Different Faiths "Say NO to Violence Against Women"

Religious leaders from three continents and at least five major religions came together to support the United Nations Development Fund for Women’s Say NO to Violence against Women” campaign. The leaders are part of the Religions for Peace, a movement dedicated to peace, ending poverty, and protecting the Earth.

The new partnership between Religions for Peace and UNIFEM works to promote awareness and action to achieve equality for women and girls worldwide.

The “Say NO to Violence against Women” campaign began in 2007. More than 30 states, 190 organizations, and 25,000 people have signed the campaign.
