Report on the International Symposium on Sexual Violence in Conflict and Beyond

Representatives from governments, the European Commission, and the United Nations gathered in Brussels in June of 2006 to bring awareness to the problem of sexual violence in situations of conflict. Attendees discussed, inter alia, national action plans on sexual violence in and recovery from conflict, preventative methods, justice and the rule of law, and responding to the physical and emotional needs of victims. A report about participants' discussions and findings has been published. To view the complete report from the participants of the Symposium, please click here
